Korea Electronic Travel Authorization

Nationals of countries or regions eligible for VISA exempt entry are required to hold a valid K-ETA to board the flight or ship bound for the Republic of Korea.

On 1st April 2023, the Korean government announced the K-ETA exemption for 22 VISA exempt countries/regions until the 31 December 2024, in celebration of the “Visit Korea Year 2023-2024“. And this was extended to 31 December 2025.

The 22 countries/regions are:
Singapore, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US (including Guam)

Please only submit your K-ETA application on the official site of the K-ETA office, which is https://www.k-eta.go.kr/. Do not search on the web for the K-ETA application site, as this may lead you to unofficial or wrong website for this purpose.

**Please note that nationals of 22 countries/regions can still apply for K-ETA, and K-ETA application fee is 10,000 KRW/per person (around 9~10 USD, additional fees not included). Those who have the K-ETA are not required to submit an arrival card at the port of arrival.
  • Each approved K-ETA application may be valid up to 3 years from the date of application. And it is valid for multiple entries until expiration date.

  • For the application status or result, go the K-ETA site and on the top menu bar, click on “K-ETA Application Results“. And for subequent visit, you may also update your new travel information here.
